Knowing ones enemy is very important!
Knowing just how he works within your weaknesses,
is just as vital as knowing when to call upon your God
in your times of confusion. You will have those times,
they are a given;no matter how mature you are spiritually.
When you testify of your Jesus to anyone, the expectation
is always ,okey I followed my God in obedience;just when
will the enemy hit me with his lies?
He is no procrastinator,he is predictable in his
manner of attack against a Christian.Wherever your
achilles tendon is,he is sure to find it,and use it to his
fullest advantage! He knows us well ,as well
as we should know him,but at times underestimate him.
You know your weaknesses, and sometimes advertise them
verbally,to others; or while in prayer to our God!
Either he or his minions can and do stake us out, just to
learn our shortcomings spiritually.
Without a doubt,our own big mouths spill the beans;
it is human nature to flap our gums unawares: and the price
we may pay can be devasting over time.
That is not to say he will be continously successful in his
everyday attacks.Training up ones spirit is a focus, and
any Christian should be aware of when he does attack.
Being ready takes planning. and in the planning on your
behalf; only you can prepare for those little forays
into confusion ,and discernment of his lies.
For above all, rest assured you will be his target;sooner
or later.
We all have him as a primo enemy, and he is good at what
he does; for like our God and His goodness and love for us:
he is time tested. Many of us as Christians have the gift of
discernment, yet do not claim it by our faith.Like many of
our Gods gifts,we are seemingly unconscious to realize that
our battles are 100% spiritual, and being so,we too have
weapons to retalliate against our enemy.
Gods Spirit supplies our spiritual needs in regards
to the "Full armor of God".
There are times, that I wonder if he was created to be Gods
nemesis,or catalyst; in Gods plan for us all?
Never underestimate him or when he is
likely to come against us.He hates us just like he hates
our Jesus within us.Just be on guard my friend,
even if you have to sleep in your armour of God!
Like the boy-scouts,be prepared and ever vigilant.
Go with God!
"Be sober,be vigilant;because your adversary
the devil,as a roaring lion,walketh about,seeking
whom he may devour:"
1Peter 5:8
In His love,
